Horizon Music offers microphone snakes and multi-track snakes for virtually any application. The many available connector, channel and length options will insure your satisfaction.

Our three snake series (Concert, Stage, Stage-Plus) and our multi-tracks are available with our standard, installation approved, multipair wire as well as our premium "Studio Series" multipair wire (both types are individually shielded and jacketed).

Horizon Music Inc. warranties all pre-made cables and Snake products to be free from material and workmanship defects for life. If at any time a Horizon cable or snake product fails due to material or workmanship defect, simply return the product, prepaid freight to the Horizon address listed on the warranty card, and Horizon will repair or replace any product covered by this warranty at its option and return to you prepaid freight. STUDIO SERIES - Multipair Snake Cable Specifications

OUR FINEST WIRE
All Horizon snakes and Multi-Tracks are available in STUDIO SERIES multipair snake cable. This ultra flexible cable utilizes oxygen free copper, finely stranded conductors, each pair individually jacketed with channel numbers and shielded with a bare stranded copper spiral. The jacket is an extremely flexible PVC blend. This is the best Multipair snake cable on the market today. The Horizon STUDIO SERIES cable will preserve your sound and make setup, tear down, or installation simpler.

PROFLEX CONCERT SERIES SNAKES - The Best

The Proflex Concert Series Snake is the toughest, most flexible, easy to roll and unroll, multipair snake series Horizon offers. The stage box is constructed from the thickest gauge metal we offer. Other features include an integral handle, all metal connectors (with locking tabs on the female XLRs), dual returns on the box (1/4" and XLR male), and a heavy duty wire mesh strain relief on both the box and fan ends. Constructed with the STUDIO SERIES multipair snake cable. 

PROFLEX STAGE PLUS SERIES SNAKES

The Proflex Stage Plus series features our super flexible STUDIO SERIES multipair snake wire. These snakes feature an 18 gauge steel stage box, to protect the connectors, metal "D" series connectors, professional quality strain relief, glow in the dark channel numbers, customer choice of XLR or 1/4" stereo returns (please specify at time of order). We offer all the frequently requested send-return configurations and lengths (special configurations are available) and the best warranty in the business. 

PROFLEX STAGE SERIES SNAKES

The Proflex Stage Series has the same features, wire, configurations and lengths available in our Stage Plus series only we load the stage box with a more economical yet durable nylon "D" series type connector. Raised edges on the stage box will help protect the connectors from damage. This snake allows us to offer one of the most flexible multipair cables in the industry at a price you'll like. 

PROFLEX MULTI-TRACKS

Proflex Multi-Track cables are available in your choice of connectors and lengths, from four to 28 channel configuration all contained within one jacket. Other connector configurations and channels up to 58 as well as insert snakes are available through our Custom Shop.

Standard connectors: 1/4" Male, XLR Male, XLR Female, RCA Male, RCA Female, 1/4" TRS (stereo).

PROFLEX HDAT & HDA8

Interfacing your digital recording deck with a recording or mixing console is accomplished with Horizon's Digital Interface Cable. These are available in two formats.

The Proflex HADAT utilizes the 56 pin ELCO/EDAC connector with your choice of connectors at the opposite end. This cable is wired to the Alesis® ADAT® specification.

The Proflex HDA8 utilizes 25 pin D-Sub miniature to 8 XLR Male or Female or eight 1/4" balanced connectors. The cable is wired to the Tascam® DA-88 specification or Fostex® RD8.

Other configurations are available upon request. 

CL-2 MULTIPAIR SNAKE CABLE SPECIFICATIONS

The standard multipair cable is constructed of individually jacketed pairs of 24 AWG conductors with channel numbers marked on every pair. Each pair is individually shielded with a 100% coverage foil for optimum signal protection. The overall jacket is Matte PVC and has been constructed to meet the NEC specification for permanent installation (CL-2 approved).

Underwriters Laboratories: Listed National Electric Code type CL2 for use in accordance with NEC articles 640,520 and 725 for audio and sound recording equipment for general use without conduit except in risers and plenums. Because the wire meets NEC specs for permanent installations, you can run this snake behind walls, ceilings and floors without conduit (check your local fire codes), but it is also built to take the punishment that live bands need. Concert series snakes are available in all standard send-return configurations. Special configurations are available from our custom shop. 

STAGE PLUS SERIES SNAKES

The Stage Plus Series features our CL-2 series snake wire along with a low profile 18 gauge steel stage box, raised edges to protect the connectors, metal "D" series connectors, professional quality strain relief, glow in the dark channel numbers, and customer choice of XLR or 1/4" TRS (balanced) returns (please specify type of return connectors at time of order). Because the wire meets NEC specs for permanent installations, you can run this snake behind walls, ceilings and floors without conduit (check your local fire codes), but it is also built to take the punishment that live bands need. Stage Plus series snakes are available in all standard send-return configurations. Special configurations are available from our custom shop.

POWER SNAKES (Mic Snake and Speaker Cables in one)

The Power Snake from Horizon is designed to consolidate audio, return and speaker lines all within one jacket. These snakes are manufactured for use with most powered mixing consoles. This minimizes the need for multiple cables and greatly reduces setup and tear down time.

Standard lengths of 50', 75', 100'. Other lengths available upon request.

Horizon recommends not to exceed 125'.

S/PDIF AND T/DIF DIGITAL CABLES

SP/DIF Digital cables utilize state of the art cable assemblies and connectors, custom made by hand to exacting specifications for digital use where SP/DIF (RCA/RCA) signals are being transmitted. Specifications are as follows: 23 AWG strained dielectric RG-59 with stranded copper shield.

T/DIF Digital cables use industry standard 25 conductor digital cable, specifically designed for T/DIF digital signal. These assemblies are terminated with professional grade DB-25 (D-SUB) connectors and are hand assembled and tested to ridged industry standards. Specifications are as follows: 25-conductors 24 AWG stranded bare copper, semi-rigid PVC insulated, over all foil shielded, matte PVC jacket cable.

VIPER MULTI-PIN DISCONNECT SNAKES

With its new technique of wave soldering connectors, and the newly developed Horizon Multi-Pin connector, Horizon can now offer a multi-pin disconnect snake at an affordable price. These new technologies provide larger ground and voltage planes, signal stability, new lower profile box, wider traces for expanded frequency response, and are available in Proflex Studio Series or CL-2 multipair snake cable. 

PORTABLE CABLE STORAGE REELS & HAND TRUCK

HCR-1 CABLE REEL (for small diameter Mic & multipair cable)

Model HCR-1 cable reel is small, lightweight, and durable. Designed for quick and easy use, this reel is ideal for applications where long lengths of cable are paired out over large areas. Rewind is accomplished with a crank handle permanently attached to the reel. This model is also equipped with a spring drag device to brake the reel. Coated in a non-reflective black matte finish.

HCR-1L CABLE REEL (for longer runs of small diameter cable)

Model HCR-1L is a strong, portable reel for storing higher capacities of cable compared to our standard HCR-1. Sturdy steel construction with direct crank rewind provides fast, easy pick-up. Perfect for applications with long cable runs or large diameter cable. Adjustable friction brake is standard. Coated in a non-reflective black matte finish.

HCR-2 & HCR-2L SNAKE REELS (for larger diameter cable)

The HCR-2 & HCR-2L are large capacity reels with removable crank handles and pillow-block bearings for smooth cranking under heavy loads. The unique split reel design offers easy access to both snake cable ends without unspooling the entire length.

HCR-3 SNAKE REEL (for common size snakes)

The HCR-3 is great for most 8x4, 12x4, 16x4 and 24x4 common length snakes. It features rugged steel and aluminum construction, a durable tray for storage of stage box units, a slotted driver disc design that allows connector pigtails to be safely stored alongside snake cable, ergonomic carrying handles allows one or two person transport and an adjustable friction brake will prevent cable over-run.

HCR-STEEL HAND TRUCK

This tubular steel hand truck is available with the HCR-2 or HCR -2L cable reel mounted (additional charge) or it can be purchased with no reel. It is equipped with 4" x 16" pneumatic tires. This hand truck weighs 48 lbs. with no cable reel.
